Billie Sue Chaloult passed away on Good Friday, April 18, 2025, in Warner Robins, Georgia, just days before her 82nd birthday, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born on Good Friday, April 23, 1943, in El Paso, Texas, she was the daughter of Alta Barker Anderson and Joseph Sweeney Anderson.
A chance blind date with a young Air Force officer stationed at Fort Bliss, Michael Paul Chaloult, blossomed into a marriage that spanned over sixty-two years. Together they built a life rooted in love and resilience, raising three children while navigating the unique demands of military life. As an officer’s wife, Billie guided her family through numerous relocations across six states with grace and determination. Her strength and adaptability became a lasting example to her children, teaching them to embrace change and face challenges with courage.
Billie devoted her life to her family. Her greatest joy came from being a loving wife, mother, Nana, and great-grandmother. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Retired Colonel Michael Chaloult; sons, Michael Chaloult Jr. (Wendy) and Christopher Chaloult (Lori); daughter, Kellye Chaloult Moore; grandchildren, Jessica Chaloult Gilbert, Carly Moore, Sarah Chaloult, Nicholas Chaloult, Rachel Moore Allison, Benjamin Chaloult, and Anderson Chaloult; and four great-grandchildren. Also cherishing her memory are her brother Joseph Sweeney Anderson Jr. (Pat), along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.
May Billie’s memory bring comfort to all who were touched by her enduring love and unwavering spirit.
