Billie Jane Kidd

Billie Jane Kidd, walked through the gates of Heaven on Sunday, October 4, 2015. It was her 81st birthday.

Jane was born one of three children in Caledonia, Mississippi to the late Floyd Bill and Fannie Jane Wells Blalock. She retired from ITT Avionics and Robins Air Force Base. Mrs. Kidd was a woman of faith and the heart of the Kidd family, shaping their spirituality by her tireless Christian example. She was a devoted and longtime member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church where she enjoyed attending her Sunday school class. In her retirement years, Jane was an avid reader, and enjoyed aquatic aerobics, shopping, spending time with friends, and flower gardening.

In addition to Jane's parents, her brother, Harold Blalock, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Kidd's memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 62 years, James E. Kidd of Kathleen; adoring children, Angie Kidd Hunt (Dallas) of Tifton and J. Brett Kidd (Susan) of Kennesaw; grandchildren, Don Leebern IV, Christopher Kidd, Davis Kidd, Dallas Hunt V, and Adylein Hunt; sister, Linda Hanson (Bruce); sisters-in-law, Janet Blalock, Frances Duncan, Laurene Robinson, and Lucille Vaughn; several nieces and nephews; and a host of very dear extended family members and friends whom she would consider family.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 7, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Shirley Hills Baptist Church. Following the service, Mrs. Kidd will be laid to rest in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Tifton, Georgia at 3:00 p.m.
