Billy James "Jamie" Gilmore, 61, entered into rest on Sunday, December 8, 2013.
Jamie was born on November 11, 1952 at Fort Ord, California to the late Billy Joseph Gilmore and Betty Sue Fisher Gilmore. With pride and honor he served his country in the United States Air Force. Jamie was employed as a Maintenance Technician at Hollingsworth & Vose Company in Hawkinsville. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, and gardening. Jamie was a family man, enjoying spending time with his family and passionate about his precious grandchildren.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of thirty-six years, Janice Marie Gilmore, Warner Robins; daughter and son-in-law, Lindsay Gilmore-Hudson (Jason), Roberta; brother and sister-in-law, Michael Gilmore (Valerie), Vacaville, California; aunt, Mary Lou Fisher, Champaign, Illinois; grandchildren, Nathaniel Stiverson, Jaimee Hudson, Georgia Hudson; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved dog, Dovie.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 11, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be given to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street Ste. A, Macon, Georgia 31201.
