Billy "Joe" Taylor, Jr.

Billy "Joe" Taylor, Jr, 55, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.

Joe was born on August 7, 1960 in Dublin, Georgia to Billy Joe, Sr. and Joyce Mathis Taylor. He began his career in civil service at Robins Air Force Base where he worked as an Aircraft Work Lead, retiring after 32 years. Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing every chance he got and was a lifetime member of the Taylor Hunting Club. However, his greatest joy was found in family and most particularly in being an adoring "Poppop" to his four beloved grandchildren.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 33 years, Sandy Taylor of Warner Robins; children, Ryan M. Taylor (Samantha) and Justin S. Taylor (Keti), all of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Brianna Taylor, Anthony Taylor, Kami Taylor, Levi Taylor; parents Billy Joe, Sr. and Joyce Taylor of Sparta; and brother, Mark E. Taylor (Melinda) of Warner Robins.

Visitation with Joe's family will be Friday, May 13, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016 in Reynolds Chapel Cemetery in Devereaux, Ga, where Joe will be laid to rest following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Billy "Joe" Taylor, Jr. to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon, Ga 31201.
