Blanche Greer Self

Warner Robins, GA – Blanche Greer Self, 85, died Saturday, April 13 at the Houston Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2002 at Southside Baptist Church with interment following at Magnolia Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Monday evening at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mrs. Self was born in Griffin, GA. She retired from the Houston County Board of Education as a lunchroom dietician and also from the Warner Robins Recreation Department. She volunteered with the Senior Citizen Center and was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Her husbands, Herman F. Greer and Buford Self, parents, Ruben and Lilly Moore Harper, brother, Winfred Harper, sister, Agnes McClendon, daughter, Jo Marlene Mantei, and son-in-law, Ed Mantei, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Pansy Greer Thomas, Centerville; daughter, Kathy Greer Nishnic, and son-in-law, Mike Nishnic, Columbia, SC; sisters, Reba Dix, Margie Williams, and a brother, Donnie Harper of Griffin; sisters-in-law, Katherine Greer of Griffin and Betty Collins of Warner Robins; longtime friends, Annie Clyde Whitten, Joleen Watson, Minnie & Les Ell, Lowell Warren, of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Rick Mantei and Nicholas Nishnic of Columbia, SC, Darrell Mantei, Frank Thomas, Tim Thomas, Renée Thomas Eaton, Bobby & Jackie Thomas, of Warner Robins; great-grandchildren, Charlie & Darrell Mantei, Jr of Columbia, Josh Mantei, Amanda Thomas, Nikki Thomas, Connor Thomas, Greer Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Trevor Thomas, Rae Eaton & Ali Eaton, of Warner Robins.
