Bobbie Allene (Gilbert) Harris

Bobbie Allene Harris, 79, entered into rest on Saturday, January 5, 2013.

Mrs. Harris was born on January 7, 1933 in Vienna, Georgia to the late Robert and Ora Lee Gilbert. Bobbie was a lifelong member of Sharon Baptist Church in Cordele and attended Avondale Baptist Church in Macon. Bobbie retired from Bassett Furniture. She was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an active member of H2U at Coliseum Healthcare. In addition to her parents, her husband, Charles H. Harris, Sr. and sister, Lydia Singletary also preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Ruby Dowd (David), Juliette; Charles Harris, Jr. (Cathy), Macon; grandchildren, Christina Ruiz (Ernie), David Caleb Dowd (Allyson), Matthew Dowd (Cari), and Callie Harris; great grandchildren, Katelyn, Jemma, Keira, Makayla, Taylor, and Samantha; and sister, Onell Nipper, Cordele.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January, 8, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Avondale Baptist Church with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens cemetery. Contributions can be made to Avondale Baptist Church.
