Bobbie Jean Stapleton Mauldin, 83, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Bobbie was born on December 5, 1941, in Brooker, Florida, to the late Carl Stapleton and Lillie McLeod Stapleton. From an early age, she had a gift for making people feel seen, heard, and loved. A true people person, Bobbie’s warmth and vibrant spirit lit up every room she entered. Those who knew her, whether for a moment or a lifetime, often said she was one of the kindest women they had ever met.
Bobbie had a deep love for cooking and delighted in sharing her culinary talents with others. Her meals were not only delicious but a reflection of the care and joy she poured into everything she did. When she wasn’t in the kitchen, she could often be found tending to her garden in the past, where she found peace and fulfillment.
In addition to her parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Mauldin Williams; siblings, Billy Stapleton and James Stapleton; and in-laws, Oscar Mauldin, Mary Mauldin, Kenneth Woodruff, Jaquelinn McKenney, Albert Mauldin, and Wayne Poetter.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph L. Mauldin of Warner Robins; grandson, Dr. Nathaniel Williams of Lilburn; and sister, Judy Cooper of Leslie.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Andersonville National Cemetery where Bobbie will be laid to rest.
