Bobby Helms

Bobby Wayne Helms, 82, joined his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, October 23, 2023.

Bobby was born on January 6, 1941, in Mobile, Alabama to the late Rev. James Walter Helms and Eunice Mae (Meacham) Helms. He grew up in Mobile, Alabama before moving to Warner Robins, Georgia.

Bobby was a loving father and grandfather. He loved fishing, shooting, riding motorcycles, flying airplanes, there probably is not a hobby he did not try and enjoy. Most recently, Bobby enjoyed observing and taking pictures of the various constellations via his telescopes. Always ready for a new adventure, Bobby received a call to go on an adventure you just can’t refuse. This adventure allows him to join family and friends he has not seen in a long time, but he won’t be returning from this adventure. He will now spend an eternity joyful and healthy.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded by brothers, Waylan Helms and Anthony Helms and sister, Judy H. White.

His memory will be treasured and carried in the hearts of those he loved.

He is survived by his son, Caleb (Katie)Helms and his granddaughter Isabel Helms.

Also included are his daughters Rebecca (Simon) Aoun, Rachel (Paul) Green, and Ruth (Terry) Rondberg. His 6 grandchildren: Lorelle, Lindsey, Taylor, Jaqueob, Haleigh, Mollie, and 4 great-grandchildren.

At the family’s request, all services held will be private.
