Bonita "Bonnie" Stocker

Bonita "Bonnie" Stocker, 61, of Warner Robins, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 8th, 2010 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Erie, PA February 6th, 1949 to Harold Swarts and Reba (Davis) Swarts of Centerville.

She received her Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Edinboro University in Edinboro, PA and her Master's degree in Mathematics from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville.

She was married to Rev. James Stocker on April 14th, 1973. She taught mathematics at Warner Robins High School from 1982 – 2006 where she won Teacher of the Year on several occasions. She was the Mathematics Coordinator for the Houston County Board of Education from 2006 until her passing.

An active member and worship leader of Berean Assembly of God in Centerville, God blessed her with so many talents in so many ways. She regularly would sew, crochet, play the piano, trumpet, organ, accordion, and sing like an angel.

She is preceded in death by her father Harold Swarts and survived by her husband, Reverend James Stocker Warner Robins; daughter, Angela Stocker, Winder; son and daughter-in-law Adam and Krystal Stocker, Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Hannah and Ayden Stocker, Chattanooga, TN; mother, Reba Swarts, Centerville; sister, Rebajean Simmons, Lebanon, PA; sister and brother-in-law Vonda and Michael Bloomer, Centerville; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at McCullough Funeral Home on Friday, February 12th, 2010, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. The Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2010, at Berean Assembly of God, 401 Wilson Dr. Centerville, GA 31093. Her body will lay in state in the church sanctuary one hour prior to the service.
