During the afternoon hours of Friday, March 22, 2024, Bonnie Jean Caudill entered the gates of heaven to join her beloved Lord and Savior.
Bonnie was born on August 4, 1928, in Glomawr, Kentucky, to the late Ida Singleton. Growing up in the unincorporated community located in Perry County, she met and married her long-time neighbor and childhood friend, Ray, at the age of sixteen. Ray would often ride Bonnie around on his bicycle handlebars. After his return from World War II, Bonnie and Ray started their beautiful family in Kentucky prior to moving to Michigan. Bonnie was more than a homemaker to her family; she was the most patient and loving caregiver to her husband and five children. It was important to her to have dinner ready daily at 4:30 p.m. for her husband and family. Bonnie enjoyed quilting, canning, shopping and was devoted to reading her bible. She was a God-fearing woman who lived by the word and never spoke ill of anyone. Bonnie was a longtime and faithful member of Bonaire First Baptist Church. She dedicated her life to her husband, children and grandchildren and always enjoyed their visits. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ray, of seventy-three years; son in law, James Wuorenma; daughter in law, Cathy Caudill and son in law, Dan Reilman.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Phyllis Wuorenma of Plymouth, Michigan, Peggy Winfield (James) of Harrison Township, Michigan, Phillip Caudill of Mesa, Arizona, Carlene Kalebaugh (George) of Warner Robins and Linda Reilman of Northville, Michigan; ten grandchildren, Ryan and Kenneth Wuorenma, Rick Graczyk, Rob Caudill, Rachel Horton, Christa Self, Jarrod and Kathryn Kalebaugh, and Danny and Andrew Reilman; four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bonnie’s family would like to thank her wonderful caregivers, Virginia Dawson, Jana Swanson, Brenda Hewell and Susan Hoges for their kindness and compassion.
Visitation with Bonnie’s family will be Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Bonnie will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
