Bowman Bryant

Mr. Arthur Bowman Bryant, 76, passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2007.

Mr. Bryant was born on February 11, 1931 in Plains, Georgia and lived his entire adult life in Warner Robins in the close company of his extended family of six siblings and their many descendants. He was a 45 year member of First Baptist Church of Centerville, where he was a former trustee and member of the church’s Shining Light Sunday School class. With loyalty and honor, he served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as a member of the 82nd Airborne. Bowman distinguished himself as a successful retailer, realtor and real estate developer. For more than a decade he owned and operated Bryant Appliance and T.V. store. Bowman was a loving family man and truly enjoyed time spent with his family. His parents, Charlie W. and Sadie Bateman Bryant, and two brothers, Harold and Edward Bryant, all preceded him in death.

He will be missed by his beloved wife, Gail Hartz Bryant, Centerville; children, Arthur Steven Bryant, Seattle, WA; Stanley G. Bryant, Warner Robins; Gretchen F. Bryant, Atlanta; grandson, Tyler H. Bryant, Warner Robins; siblings, Katherine McLeod (Marvin), Betty Spires (Rogers), all of Warner Robins; Newton Bryant (Mary Jane), Lizella; Raymond Bryant (Joan), Macon; sister-in-law, Nita Bryant, Fortson; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2007, in First Baptist Church of Centerville with interment following in Centerville Cemetery.
