Brenda Kay Hollis, 68, entered into rest on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Brenda was born on December 14, 1956, in Fort Valley, Georgia. A compassionate and dedicated caregiver, she earned her nursing degree and devoted 50 years to serving others as a registered nurse, most recently at Summerhill Senior Living Community. Whether at work or in her personal life, Brenda’s nurturing spirit was evident—she was always looking out for others, ensuring they were cared for and loved.

Beyond her medical career, Brenda was a force to be reckoned with in the world of barbecue. As a true BBQ Pit Master, she owned and operated The Dancing Pig BBQ, delighting friends, family, and patrons with her mouthwatering creations. She was a proud foodie who loved exploring new flavors and had a particular fondness for traveling, especially trips to Savannah, where she soaked in the culture, cuisine, and coastal beauty.

Brenda’s infectious laughter and magnetic personality made her the life of the party wherever she went. She was quick-witted, hilarious, and had an uncanny ability to light up any room. Family meant everything to her, and she cherished every moment spent with loved ones.

Brenda was preceded in death by her loving wife, Lorrie Reagain, father, Albert Howard, and brother, Gregory Howard.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her mother, Mary Morton Howard, Howard; son, Clifton Howard (Candice) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Jakiel Griffin-Zanders (Kiara) of Leesburg, Jiya Howard of Warner Robins, Noah Howard-Williams of Macon, Brittany Story of Warner Robins, Teil Tennison of Macon, De’Asia Williams of Warner Robins, and Canighya Williams of Warner Robins; great-grandchildren, Amiya Collier, Amia Collier, Ja’Kyleen Collier, Nehemia Griffin-Zanders, Kayli Griffin-Zanders, and Naori Story; and siblings, Gail Green of Fort Valley, Cynthia Howard of Warner Robins, and Donna Reid of Warner Robins, along with many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

A memorial gathering will be Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
