Keith McLain, wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 28, 2018. He was 56.
Keith was born in France on April 25, 1962 to Angela Parkerson Sommers and the late James Roger McLain, but was raised by his grandparents, Joe B. and Lola Parkerson. Of the Baptist faith, he grew up in Perry, Georgia and graduated from Perry High School in 1980 where he excelled in baseball, football, and wrestling. Keith was a resident of Clinchfield for most of his life and enjoyed his work in cemetery grounds-keeping and maintenance. Keith was currently employed at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins and had previously worked for Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 36 years, Beth McLain of Warner Robins; children, Brandon Keith McLain and Brian Carey McLain, both of Warner Robins, and Kristy McLain of Clearwater, Florida; grandchildren, Chance Carey and Jayden Gron; mother, Angela Sommers of Milledgeville; and sisters, Angelina Newman (Jimmy) of Milledgeville and Lynn McLain of Pensacola, Florida.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 5, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Paul Mullen officiating. After the service, Keith will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to a memorial fund benefitting Keith’s family. These gifts can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with “Brien Keith McLain Memorial Fund” written in the memo line.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mr. McLain’s arrangements.
