Brooks Carson Brock passed away at home on the afternoon of Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the age of 50. Born in Atlanta, GA on January 26, 1972, Brooks was the son of the late Eugene Byron and Diane Brown Brock. He graduated from Warner Robins High School in 1990 and was a much-loved manager of My Father’s Place for over 25 years.
Brooks was a music and movie buff (especially of Star Wars) who loved going to the theater to catch the latest flick. You could always count on him to exercise his amateur movie critic skills at the end of each film he watched. On top of being the biggest fan of the cinema, Brooks was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Braves. If they were on the television, he was more than likely glued to it until the game was over. Brooks was very smart, sharp-witted and had a big heart for all people. Everyone who met him instantly loved him; his fun-loving personality was infectious and he was the life of the party wherever he went! Those who knew Brooks know they will never meet another like him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving siblings, Julie Bryant of Warner Robins, Scott Brock (Marlys) of Olympia, WA, Laura Colgin (Larry) of Juniata, NE, Donald Brock of Macon and Bonnie Cox of Perry; many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, aunt Denise Stanfield (Jim) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; very close friends who were like family to him, Amy McDaniel and Diana Jenkins; and his beloved dogs, Isabelle and Baylor.
A memorial gathering with Brooks’ family will take place on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating his life will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via the McCullough Funeral Home Facebook page at www.facebook.com/mcculloughfuneralhome/live/.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Brooks to the Humane Society of Houston County, Inc., P.O. Box 9588, Warner Robins, GA 31095.
