Early on the morning of Sunday, May 8, 2022, Bruce Leon Hall peacefully passed away at his residence. He was 77 years old.
The son of the late George Leon and Catherine Lorraine Maynard Hall, Bruce was born on August 2, 1944, in Louisa, Kentucky. As a young man, Bruce served in the United States Air Force before working at Pabst Blue Ribbon in Perry. Self-sufficient, Bruce later opened his own business, Hall’s Beverage Services and built his own house. He was also mechanically inclined and loved restoring antique cars. Bruce enjoyed traveling and going on vacations. He was a member of the Houston Masonic Lodge No. 35.
In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Betty Lou Clance Hall; son, Robert C. “Bobby” Baggarly, Jr.; grandparents, Jay and Enid Maynard and Guy Roy and Effie Hall; and brother-in-law, Raymond “Buck” Davis.
His memory will forever be cherished by his granddaughter, Megan Johnson (Matthew) of Perry; daughter-in-law, Kathy Baggerly of Perry; siblings, Sharon Davis of Grove City, Ohio; Gay Ferris of Pickerington, Ohio; Benny Hall (Barbara) of Byron; Guy Roy Hall of Seattle, Washington; Sheila Mosley (Benji) of Kenova, West Virginia; special friends, Steven and Suzanne Lindsey, David and Alta McMann, and Jack and Carolyn Flanders. Bruce also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation and give special thanks to all of Bruce’s caregivers, especially to Shamaka Jones.
Visitation with Bruce’s family will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The graveside service celebrating his life will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022 at Magnolia Park Cemetery with Chaplain Lance Merritt officiating.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Bruce Hall to the American Stroke Foundation, 6405 Metcalf Ave., Ste. 214, Overland Park, KS 66202 or to Enhabit Hospice 1760 Bass Road Ste. 202, Macon, Georgia 31210.
