Burland Keith Fortson

Burland Keith Fortson, 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2006. Visitation will be Friday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 16, at Southside Baptist Church with interment following in Centerville Cemetery.

Mr. Fortson was born on April 17, 1941 in Albertville, AL. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church in Roberta. After twenty five years of service he retired from Robins Air Force Base civil service where he worked in avionics and electronics. His parents, Jessie A. Fortson and Arleva Ovell Cochran Fortson, and his brother, Vandell Fortson, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene Fortson, Byron; children, Edwin Keith Fortson (Staci), Arkansas; Allen Paul Fortson (Tammy L.), Macon; Tina M. Davis, Byron; and Stacy L. Beavers, Byron; siblings, Betty Chitty- Lloyd, Eatonton; Cletta Phillips, Baxley; Haskell Fortson, Warner Robins; Michael Fortson, Byron; and Billy Fortson, Perry; seventeen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
