Calvin E. Smith

CALVIN E. SMITH, 74 years old, entered into rest on February 23rd, 2008.

He was born on September 9, 1933 in Marshall, Texas. His parents, Thomas J. and Eunice L. Smith, preceded him in death.

Calvin was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather; he is loved and remembered by his beloved wife of twenty-seven years, Gilberta Smith, Warner Robins; his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: daughter, Donna and Thomas Smith, Washington ; daughter, Nancy Smith and Wendy Ports, New York; son, Randy and Suzanne Smith, Florida; step-daughter, Diane and Brent Felker, Colorado; step-son, Robert Marques, Colorado; step-daughter, Jean and Robert Martin, South Carolina; and step-daughter, Debra & Garrick Schenck, Colorado; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Other family members include his two sisters, Shirley Rowland and Martha Dawson along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Calvin dedicated thirty-six years of his life serving the United States Government as an Electronics Technician and a Logistics Manager. Those years included seven years at Hill Air Force Base and twenty-nine years at Robins Air Force Base. Outside of work, Calvin enjoyed woodworking, designing and building additions to their home, gardening and traveling in his RV. Words can never fully express how much he touched the lives of those around him. He will forever be in our hearts.
