Calvin Jermont Mathis was born December 15, 1972, in Fort Valley, Georgia, to Beverly Lawson and the late Stanley Brownie. At an early age, he made Warner Robins his permanent residence.
Calvin attended Houston County schools and graduated from Warner Robins High School with the class of 1993. He began his career at the Robins Air Force Base Flight Kitchen and was later promoted to the Wynn Dining Facility. In his spare time, he volunteered at the Warner Robins Recreation Department for the Senior Citizen Olympics and Special Olympics. He also coached football, basketball and baseball. Calvin was a sports fanatic and enjoyed watching his Warner Robins Demons, Florida State Seminoles, and Duke basketball. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Most of all, his greatest joy was cooking on the grill.
Calvin was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Brownie.
