Carl Bowles

Carl Bowles, entered into rest on Sunday, October 11, 2009.

Mr. Bowles was born on March 23, 1927, in Beckley, West Virginia. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy and was a World War II veteran. Subsequently, he owned and operated Bowles Glass Company. A licensed airplane pilot, he was a member of the American Legion and the Jaycess. Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church was his home church. He was predeceased by parents, John Fount Bowles and Emma King Bowles.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife, Virginia Morrell Bowles, Perry; daughter, Faye Youngblood, Reynolds and Tina Hunter, Covington; son, Bradley Hardy, Reynolds; sisters, Nelle Reed, Holly Hills, Florida and Hazel Adkins, Virginia Beach, Virginia; a number of grand children and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m.on Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Church, 10157 Highway 341, Fort Valley GA 31030.
