Carl Gordon Wilkins, Jr.

Carl Gordon Wilkins, Jr., 64, entered into rest on Friday, November 4, 2011.

Carl was born on December 4, 1946 in Audubon, New Jersey. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Wilkins graduated with a degree in History from The University of Florida, and later retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and of the Adult 4C Co-ed Sunday School Class. His parents, Carl Gordon Wilkins, Sr. and Lorraine Ellen Overton Norris, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Ruth Wilkins, Warner Robins; children, Trey Wilkins (Linda), Fort Valley, Steven Matthew Wilkins, and Carrie Chastain (Mike), both of Warner Robins; brothers, Don Foreman, Jimmy Wilkins, and Donnie Wilkins, all of Florida; sister, Rose Carter, Atlanta; and grandchildren, Eli, Kylie, and Rex Chastain, and Anna and Luke Wilkins.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at McCullough Funeral Home after the service until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 1120 Lake Joy Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
