Carlton Lamar “Butch” Boutwell, 72, entered into rest on Sunday, December 22, 2019.
Butch was born in Macon, Georgia, on July 10, 1947, to the late James Ronald and Mary Elizabeth Boutwell. He graduated with Macon’s Dudley M. Hughes High School in 1966 and was a proud Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army where he served as a Military Policeman in Germany. Butch retired in 2007 with 30 years of Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman and enjoyed coaching his girls’ softball teams at Bloomfield Park for several years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth “Kenny”, Ronald “Ronnie” and Bobby E. Boutwell.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Jeanne Boutwell of Kathleen and Kandace “Kristy” Collins (Stuart) of Bonaire; grandchildren, T.J. Hurlburt, Lee and Hannah Collins, Kali Murray, Karena Collins, and Keira Stephens; sister, Gloria Corley of Macon; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, December 27, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2019, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Scott Hagan officiating.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Butch to Bonaire United Methodist Church, 221 Church St., Bonaire, GA 31005.
