Carol Archer

December 25, 1941 — April 20, 2008

Carol Bonney Archer, 66, devoted mother, grandmother, wife and friend, went to her heavenly home on Sunday morning, April 20, 2008, after fighting fourteen years with eight bouts of various cancers.

Carol was born on December 25, 1941, in Peru, Indiana to the late Irene and Clifford Bonney. She graduated Peru High School in 1960 and graduated from the House of James Beauty School. She worked fifteen years as a master cosmetologist.

Carol was a dedicated member of the Christ United Methodist Church and served on numerous committees. She was a devout Christian that loved the Lord which truly showed in her daily living. She was engrained in her community through her volunteer services to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, Special Olympics and the Central Georgia Cancer Care Center.

Carol retired in 2004 from the Houston County School system after serving 23 years as a kindergarten paraprofessional. Carol loved everyone and everyone loved her. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and doing for others.

Family members include her husband, Lloyd Dan Archer, formerly of Wawaka, Indiana; daughter, Elisa Archer Reece, son-in-law, Tracy Alan Reece and two grand daughters, Bayleigh Danielle and Blayne Madison Reece of Monticello, Georgia; and sister, Judith Kay Guyer of Peru, Indiana.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at Christ United Methodist Church in Warner Robins. The Reverend Tommy Martin and Reverend Dave Hanson will officiate. Interment will be private. An additional Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008, at the Christian Life Fellowship Church, 2372 W. Old Stone Road, Peru, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Christ United Methodist Church, Family Life Center building project at 511 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, GA. 31088.
