Carole King Sims

Carole King Sims, 69, entered into rest on Saturday, April 10, 2010.

Mrs. Sims was born on January 17, 1941 in Batesville, Arkansas. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State College in 1961 and dedicated many years as a teacher for the Osceola County Board of Education in Florida. In retirement, she focused her devotion on her family and the breeding and showing of English Bulldogs. Her parents, Ernest J. King and Wilma Fraser King, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband of forty-seven years, John D. Sims, Byron; daughters, Stacey Sims Schwartz (Neil), Bonaire, and Suzanne Sims Sitler (Brian), Rapid City, South Dakota; grandchildren, Jarrett and Taylor Workman, Elizabeth and Payton Schwartz, Meagan and Cory Sitler, and Gabriel and Emily Kois.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 14, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
