Carole M. Stevens

Carole M. Stevens joined her beloved husband of 52 years, Arnold Vaughn Stevens, in Heaven, on Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was 81 years old. Carole was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 31, 1938, the daughter of the late Clarence and Veronica Ann McMillan.

In her younger years, Carole was honored to have served as a secretary for the U.S. Embassy in Turkey. It was there where she met and fell in love with her husband, Arnold. They eventually made Warner Robins their home and Carole went to work with the Houston County Health Department. She retired having dedicated several years as its business manager. Carole was a devout parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she enjoyed volunteering for many years at the Christian Service Center. She possessed a kind, patient, and generous heart with a passion for all animals, especially birds. Traveling was a favorite hobby of Carole’s, as well.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Mark Stevens (Shawn) and grandchildren, Taylor Moseley (Ricky), Luke Circle (Lauren) and Logan Circle, all of Warner Robins; great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Sage Moseley; brother, Mike McMillan (Betty); sister, Maureen Dabrowski; and many adoring nieces and nephews.

Carole’s family will receive friends at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at 9:00 a.m. A Rosary will follow at 9:30 a.m. with a Memorial Mass beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Monsignor Fred Nijem will officiate. Carole will be laid to rest next to Arnold in Magnolia Park Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Carole to the Christian Service Center at Sacred Heart, 136 Northview Ave., Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to FOPAS (Friends of Perry Animal Shelter), P.O. Box 2001, Perry, GA 31069.
