Carolyn C. Zirkle

Carolyn C. Zirkle, 84, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 9, 2018.

Carolyn was born on February 17, 1934 in Milan, Georgia to the late Jackson Lee and LaVanna Hullet Cravey. A Civil Service retiree at Robins Air Force Base, she was a devoted member of Sandy Valley Baptist Church where she worked in the library and was a much-loved member of the Carolyn Waters Sunday School Class. On July 21, 2001, Carolyn married her best friend, Raymond, and became a mother to his children, Andy and Beverly. She enjoyed hiking with friends, gardening and planting flowers in her yard, and reading in her free time.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 26 years, Arthur Williams.

Carolyn’s memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 30 years, Raymond Alfred Zirkle; children, Darrell Williams (Atina), Stanley Knight, Andy Zirkle (Monica), and Beverly Hunt (Chan); grandsons, Jackson Lee Williams and Brent Knight; and her pet, “Maggie.”

Visitation will be Saturday, August 11, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Sandy Valley Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Sandy Valley Baptist Church with Pastor Phil Bryant officiating. Afterwards, Carolyn will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
