Carolyn Jeannette Roberts, age 84, passed into the hands of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the morning of Tuesday, February 15, 2022. She was born in Brunswick, GA on July 4, 1937, to the late Rufus and Myrtle Pope Lovett.
On June 27, 1967, Carolyn married the love of her life, Jack N. Roberts, and was elated to begin a long and wonderful life with him. She dedicated a number of years to Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base from where she retired. In their younger years, Jack and Carolyn enjoyed traveling via motor home in their younger years and loved taking the kids along to see the many sites that the U.S. had to offer. Carolyn also loved fishing with her family, gardening, and making porcelain dolls with her friends and even taught classes on how to make them. In addition, she was an avid animal lover, especially of her three doggies, Jerry, Terry and Mary, though her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her absolute pride and joy.
Along with spending time with her family, Carolyn was a Gospel music enthusiast and particularly loved listening to Bill Gaither. She was a good Christian woman who fiercely loved the Lord and served others as Jesus did. Carolyn will be remembered by everyone who knew her as a big giver, always willing to give of her time, and her heart. Her legacy is her life, her example and her impeccable character; it will continue to bless generations to come.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 55 years, Jack N. Roberts of Warner Robins; children, Bobby Taylor (Karen), Timmy Taylor (Pat), Randy Taylor (Junie), Mike Roberts (Bonnie), Norma Nobles (Buddy), Titus Roberts, and Jackie Garrett (Robert), all of GA, and Susan Bowles of AZ; 23 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, February 18, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 12 Noon at Bread of Life Church of God, 244 Barker Rd., Byron, GA 31008. A funeral service will immediately follow at 12 noon at the church with Reverend David Smith officiating. Afterward, Carolyn will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
