Carolyn Mccarty Barrington

Carolyn McCarty Barrington, 79, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 22, 2010.

Mrs. Barrington was born on September 2, 1930, in Douglas, Georgia. She was a devoted homemaker and an avid worker for the Lord. A member of Seventh Day Adventist, she was active in Sabbath School and Dorcas Ministry. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Milford N. Barrington, who passed away only one month ago; son, Roy Dale Barrington; and parents, James Carroll McCarty and Minnie Lee McCarty Renner.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, C. Wayne Barrington and wife, Rose, Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters, Martha Jean Fox, Portland, Oregon; Carol Norwood, Brentwood, California; and Barbara Boland, North Haven, Connecticut; brother, David Renner, Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Carl Barrington and Sabrina Davis, both of Chattanooga; and for great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 24, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., and on Friday, June 25, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Pastor Curtis Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2229 Moody Road, Warner Robins GA 31088.
