Casey was born June 30, 1975, in Springfield, Illinois. When Casey was 20 years old, he was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy but he didn’t let his disease dampen his fun-loving spirit. He was a lifelong Notre Dame fan who celebrated each Fighting Irish victory. He enjoyed food and was a lover of eating. Casey was also a devoted fan of the Boston Celtics basketball team. He was the life of the party who was constantly smiling. He was blessed with the ability to keep everyone around him laughing.
Survivors include his mother, Donna Cannon of Smiths Station, Alabama; son, Christopher Sullivan; sister Kristina Dillon (Roland Bergeron); sister, Jennifer Harrison; nephews, Hunter Smith, Dominic Cannon, Timothy Winters, Jr., and Christian Winters; caregivers and friends, Sherry Johns and Tricia Brinkley; and many other loving family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a memorial fund for Casey with checks made payable to McCullough Funeral Home.
A memorial service to celebrate Casey’s life will be held at a later date.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with these arrangements.
