Catholine Street

After a heroic battle with cancer and surrounded by her loving family, Catholine Street, 73, went to heavenly peace on Tuesday, November 11, 2008.

Mrs. Street was born on August 8, 1937, in Bonifay, Florida. After marrying Voight E. Street, she moved to Pensacola, Florida, where he was employed by Monsanto. On his retirement, they relocated to Perry, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-three years, Voight E. Street; parents, Maurice Ellis and Lillian Chatwood Ellis, and great-grandmothers Laura Ellis and Margaret Grant Chatwood.

She was a loving mother to Karen Lynn Godfrey (Steve); Mark Edward Street (Diane) and Michael Eugene Street (Tammy); she is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; sister, Margie E. Poret; brother, Austin F. Ellis and sister-in-law, Ann Bailey. She will be remembered for her great strength through her fight with cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, 383 Main Avenue, 5th Floor, Norwalk CT 06851 or to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Suite A, Macon GA 31201.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Myrna Kay officiating.
