Cecil Bolton Norman

Cecil Norman, 84, entered into rest on Saturday, April 1, 2017.

Cecil was born on February 8, 1933 in Wayside, Georgia to the late Fred and Fronie Norman. A 1950 graduate of Jones County High School, he served thirty-six years at Robins Air Force Base Civil Service. Following his retirement, he worked ten dedicated years at Kroger. Cecil enjoyed playing softball with Central Baptist Church and throwing horseshoes, in which he won several awards in the 60's. He enjoyed playing golf and assisted with the Shirley Hills Elementary School field day for thirty years. Cecil enjoyed walks in the woods, with his nieces and nephews, to the sliding hills and wading in Walnut Creek in Jones County.

His parents, siblings, Statham Norman, Henry Norman, Lester Norman, Allen Norman, Earl Norman and Thelma Tribble and special friend, Yvonne Grandell preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his children Cindy Byrd (Bobby), Debra Adams (Gary) and Dale Norman (Cindy); grandchildren, Kelly, Becky, Brooke, Cindy and Tina; nine great grandchildren, one great granddaughter and sister, Edna Smith (Billy) of Blakely, Georgia.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Cecil will be laid to rest in Gordon Cemetery, Jones County at 3:00 p.m.
