Cecil L. Gillispie
Warner Robins – Cecil L. Gillispie, 73, passed away on Saturday, April 3 in the Augusta VA Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 on Friday, April 9, at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Gillispie was born in Martinsville, Virginia. He had lived in Germany, where he retired from the U.S. Army. He served in the U.S. Army for approximately 22 years. He was in WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He had lived in Germany for 40 years. He had recently purchased a home in Warner Robins, GA where he could be closer to his children. His wife, Virginia L. Gillispie and parents, Ben and Addie Gillispie, preceded him in death.
He was survived by his son, Cecil (Pete) L. Gillispie, Jr., spouse, Cindy Gillispie; daughter, Debbie L. Hinson, spouse, James Hinson; his sons, Jerry S. Gillispie and Thomas R. Gillispie of Warner Robins, GA. He had five children, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild, who always made him smile, Dillon Gillispie. He has 2 brothers, Joe Gillispie and Gene Gillispie, both living in Virgina and one sister, Ann Hand of Columbus, Georgia.
