Cecil Labritt Walker, 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Sunday, January 13, 2013.
Mr. Walker was born on August 1, 1923 in Pitts, Georgia to the late Reverend Henry Jefferson Walker and Wilmer Sailors Walker. Together, they donated the land and procured materials and labor which were instrumental in establishing Southside Church of God. Cecil was also past Secretary and Treasurer of the Holiness Baptist Association, Southeast Region. A faithful servant of the Lord, he was most recently attending Assembly of God at Warner Robins. After thirty seven years of dedicated employment, Cecil retired from Warner Robins Supply where he worked in many positions before becoming Sales Manager. In addition to his parents, his son and daughter in law, Jerry Cecil Walker and Illene Johnson Walker; brothers, James J. Walker, Reverend J.C. Walker, Arnold Walker, and sister, Ethelene Walker, all preceded him in death.
