Chad Robert Grubbs, Sr., loving father, son and brother, passed into the hands of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 6, 2022. He was 43 years old. Chad was born in Macon, GA on July 30, 1979 and was of the Methodist faith.
A graduate of Northside High School, Chad attended Middle Georgia Technical College and worked in Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base. He loved fishing, hunting, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs (GO DAWGS!), but most important to him was family. Chad was a loving, wonderful son; his mama loved him more than anything else in the world.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother and stepfather, Debbie and Robert L. Herrington; his father, Robert Larry Grubbs; a son; a daughter; his stepbrother, Dylan Herrington (Kaitlyn); and his girlfriend, Krista Thompson.
Visitation with Chad’s family will be on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Centerville United Methodist Church. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m at the church with Pastor Tommy Odom officiating. Chad will be laid to rest in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Chad to Centerville United Methodist Church, 600 N. Houston Lake Blvd, Centerville, GA 31028 or to The Methodist Home for Children and Youth, 304 Pierce Ave., Macon, GA 31204.
