Charles A. Elburn, 55, entered into rest on Thursday, April 3, 2008.

Chief Elburn was born on December 4, 1952 in Stevensville, Maryland. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he retired as Chief Flight Engineer from Air Combat Command Headquarters at Langley Air Force Base. Chief Elburn graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Embry Riddle University. He enjoyed several hobbies that included golfing and fishing. His father, Charles Alfred Elburn, Sr. preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Sonya Elburn, Kathleen; daughters, Heather Combs, Baltimore, Maryland and Rachael Elburn, Kathleen; sons, David Elburn, Fayetteville, North Carolina, Christopher Elburn, Luke AFB, Arizona, Mathew Elburn, Kathleen; brothers, Billy Elburn, Virginia and Johnny Elburn, Massachusetts; sister, Sandra Hurd, Maryland; granddaughter, Brianna Combs; mother, Patricia Elburn Baker, Glen Burnie, Maryland; and mother and father-in-law, Ron and Jean Addison, Kathleen.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 8, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with full military honors.
