Charles "Chuck" Cole, 78, entered into rest on July 20, 2010.
Chuck was born on September 23, 1931 in Banks, Alabama. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Chuck served during the Vietnam and Korean Conflicts. After serving 21 years with the Air Force, Chuck was then an instrument technician with Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery where he worked for 13 years. A timeless member of the community, Chuck then worked at Robins Air Force Base as an aircraft electrician. A devoted member of Christ United Methodist Church, Chuck was also a mason, shriner, member of Scottish Rite, Scat Cats, and the Clown Unit. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Leila Cole of Phoenix, Alabama.
Chuck's memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 54 years, Phillarene "Jill" Pilgram Cole, Perry; sons, Charlie Wayne Cole, Perry; David Lee Cole (Jackie), Perry; siblings, Lula Floyd (James), Louisville, KY; Lee Frank Cole, Betty Oaks, (J.T.), Janice Durham, Sue Robinson (Carey), all of Phoenix City, Alabama; grandchildren, Charles, Hayley, Josh, and Jessica Cole; and one great-granddaughter, Asa Peyton Cole. Many other family members and friends, including several from England, will also value their memories of Chuck, as well as his best friend Sparky.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services officiated by Reverend Kathy Israel-McLeod and Reverend Jim McIlrath will be Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ United Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Building Fund, 511 Russell Parkway, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
