Charles Dudley Jones

Charles Dudley “Bubba” Jones, 69, passed away on January 6, 2006 at Emory University Hospital. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2006 at Friendship Baptist Church. Mr. Jones will lie in state at Friendship Baptist Church from 6:00 p.m. until the service, with visitation following the service. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10 at Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 1322 Feagin Mill Rd, Warner Robins, GA, 31088, or donations may be given to the donor’s favorite charity.

Mr. Jones was born on March 1, 1936 in Zebulon, Georgia. He retired from the Air National Guard and Air Force as a Senior MSgt after serving thirty seven years, and he was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He also retired from Civil Service at the Robins Air Force Base after thirty seven years. Mr. Jones was an Ordained Baptist Deacon, and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was also a member of Camp 1399, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Masonic Lodge 35 in Perry, American Legion Post 172 in Warner Robins, and VFW 6605. His parents, Erskine and Ruby Jones, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Wilson Jones, Bonaire; son, Bruce Jones (Tanja), Americus; daughter, Valerie Moseley (Ron), Bartlett, Tennessee; granddaughters, Kaylyn Eastin, Bartlett, Tennessee; Kristen Eastin and Karli Eastin, both of Illinois; sister, Earline Cone (James), Warner Robins.
