Charles Edward "Charlie" Fishman, 77, entered into rest on Friday, January 9, 2015.
Charlie was born on April 29, 1937 in Dorchester, Massachusetts to the late Irvin and Julia (Sturmlauf) Fishman. With pride and honor, he served during the Vietnam and Korean Wars in the United States Marine Corps and Army.
His daughter, Julie Hightower and his parents preceded him in death.
Charlie's memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of almost 50 years, Hilde Gerda (Rah) Fishman of Warner Robins; children, Mark Fishman (Karen) of Gainesville and Linda Joyner (Jesse) of Byron; grandchildren, Trey Hightower, Christie Plank (Jeff), Jessica Wilson (Chris), Nathan Fishman, and Juliana and Leia Joyner; great-grandchildren, Julia, Tracen, Alexis, and Gabby; brother, Allen Fishman (Diane) of Oxford, Connecticut; and adoring niece, Melissa Fishman.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 11, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 p.m. until service time. A private burial will be held at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to the Charles Fishman Memorial Fund.
