Charles Edward Flagg, 75, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 22, 2013.
Mr. Flagg was born on January 13, 1938 in Waterville, Maine to the late Norman and Ethel Marcoux Flagg. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. Charles earned his Bachelor's degree from Bates College in Maine and continued his education at Rutgers State University in New Jersey where he earned his Master's degree. For over twenty five years, he was a Math Professor at various colleges throughout the United States. Charles retired from Boeing/Rockwell Aerospace where he worked as a Software Quality Engineer, helping to develop the software for the space shuttle program. First and foremost, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, his brothers, Norman, Carlton, and Harold Flagg, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife, Elvira Aiello Flagg, Bonaire; daughter, Alice Flagg Reslie, Kathleen; granddaughter, Caroline Trang Reslie, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be held on Friday, January 25, beginning at 6:00 p.m. with Visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to The Annual Fund at Bates College, 2 Andrews Road, Lewiston, Maine 04240.
