Charles F. Daniel

Charles F. Daniel, 81, entered into rest on Sunday, July 27, 2014

Charles was born on September 9, 1932 in Griffin, Georgia. He attended Old Alexander II School in Macon and went on to graduate from Lanier High School. Charles received a Bachelor's degree in History and Christianity from Mercer University Class of 1954. He then continued his education and received another Bachelor's degree in Conducting and Voice Performance from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. He proudly served his country as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Charles then worked as an Insurance Agent for Life and Casualty Insurance Agency for many years. He also served at several churches as Minister of Music. Charles was a longtime member of Central Baptist Church. He was a Chaplin at the Ocmulgee Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution.

His parents, Fred and Nancy Collier Daniel, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of 55 years, Grace Daniel of Warner Robins; daughters, Deborah A. Champlin (Frank) of South Lake Tahoe, California, Nancy E. Barlow of Springfield, Virginia, and Sarah R. Gasporra (Anthony) of South Lake Tahoe, California; and grandchildren, Brooke C Barlow, Gracen E. Gasporra, Joshua D. Gasporra, and Elise F. Gasporra.

Visitation will be Friday, August 1, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 1, 2014 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with entombment following in Magnolia Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to Hospice Care Options, 136 Hospital Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.
