Charles Franklin Duncan, 73, entered into rest on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.

Charles was born on July 28, 1940 in Conway, South Carolina to the late Rochelle and Irene Israel Duncan. He retired from the Charleston County School District after forty years as a technician and was a resident of Byron for the past nine years. Charles was an avid fisherman and loved time spent with his family.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving children, Tammie Rena Long (Sonny) of Cottageville, South Carolina, Charles Sammy Duncan of South Carolina, Frankie Gaines Duncan (Lori) of Ridgeland, South Carolina, Shannon Sherry Ruth Newbauer (Brian) of South Carolina, Paul Craig Duncan (Tammy) of South Carolina, Joseph Arthur Duncan of South Carolina, Brenda Turner (Carson) of South Carolina and Hazel Yvonne France of Byron, Georgia; eighteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brothers, Lacy Duncan of South Carolina, Laverne Duncan of South Carolina and Barney Duncan of South Carolina; the love of his life, Janet Lavern "Jenny" Moore of South Carolina; lifelong friend, Buddy Mossman of South Carolina; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
