Charles H. Godfrey, Jr.

Charles H. Godfrey, Jr., 75, died Saturday, September 6th, 2003 in Putnam County, GA. Funeral services will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, September 10 at Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Magnolia Park Mausoleum. The visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00pm at McCullough Funeral Home.

Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund.

Mr. Godfrey was born in Alabama. He resided in Warner Robins since 1946. Since 1960 he owned and operated Godfrey Mechanical Inc. He was an Industrial Mechanical Contractor and always wanted the job to be done right. Mr. Godfrey was a member of the Moose Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lillie Mae Godfrey; son, Charles B. Godfrey and brother, Theo L. Godfrey.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Godfrey, Warner Robins; son, Victor Godfrey, Warner Robins; daughter, Charesa Gandy, Roberta; stepson, Larry Rogers, Hiawassee, GA; stepdaughter, Carol Reynolds, Warner Robins; sisters Nell Battle, Dothan, AL, Peggy Spires Beaver, Warner Robins, Patsy Godfrey, Tavares, FL; uncle, Lloyd Penuel, Ashford, AL; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
