Charles Hardy, Jr.

Charles Hardy, Jr., 79 passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2004, at the Perry Hospital. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 8, 2004, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Perry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday, May 7, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Hardy was born in Wilcox County, but later made his home in Kathleen. He was a retired heavy equipment operator from the construction industry having worked for Tom Chapman Construction and Dent Brothers Construction. He was a Christian. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Hardy, Sr. and Florence Taylor Hardy; brothers: Albert Hardy, Ernest B. Hardy, Wayne Hardy and Andrew Hardy; and daughter, Linda Gail Hardy Sizemore.

Survivors include his wife, Addie Geneva Hardy, Kathleen; son, C. L. “Lee” Hardy (Beverly), Perry; stepson, Andy Cannon (Debi), Centerville; sister, Earlene DeBona, Warner Robins; brother, Jack Hardy, Perry; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and 2 step-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
