Charles J. Beasley, Sr., 57, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 2, 2010.
Mr. Beasley was born on July 4, 1952, in Macon. He lived in Fort Valley for twenty-six years, and was employed at Blue Bird until retirement. He was an avid drag racing enthusiast, craftsman, as well as an active assistant troop leader for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 59. Second Baptist Church was his church home. His life centered on his family and he was a good husband, father and grandfather. His parents, Charles H. Beasley and Velda Branson Beasley, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of thirty-four years Amy J. Beasley, Fort Valley; children, Jay (Tabetha) Beasley, Monticello and Autumn Beasley, Fort Valley; grandchildren, Josephine and Melody Beasley; sisters, Dianne (Mike) Glenn, Byron, Sue (Frank) Freeman, Cochran, Leeanne (Eddie) Berry, Bonaire; and fourteen nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 4, 2010, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend's Mac Goddard and Dennis Harden officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
