Charles Joseph “CJ” Linkey II, SSgt, loving son and brother, age 29, of Warner Robins, Georgia, died Thursday, June 10, 2004 at his home. Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 13, at 2:00 pm at Robins Air Force Base Chapel.
Born in Toledo, Ohio, on July 17, 1974, he was employed with Robins Air Force Base. He is survived by his father and mother, Charles J. and Joyce Linkey of Pass Christian, MS; brothers: Kurt P. Abbey, Madison, MS and Keith P. Abbey (Korrin) of Atlanta, GA, Keith Linkey (Traci) of Toledo, OH, sisters: Kelly Covington (Bobby) of Brookhaven, MS, Kerry Sorrell (Tim) of Birmingham, AL, Kristin Wallace of Madison, MS, Cheryl Walters (Tom) of Toledo, OH and Christine Cutcher of Toledo, OH, maternal grandmother, Martha Kaczmarek of Toledo, OH, along with many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Merle and Helen J. Linkey of Toledo, OH and maternal grandfather, Anthony O. Kaczmarek of Toledo, OH.
CJ graduated from Brookhaven High School in Mississippi. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and motorcycling. He served 10 years in the US Air Force in Abilene, TX at Dyess Air Force Base. At the time of his death, he was stationed at Robins AFB and served in the Georgia Air National Guard.
