Charles L. Thomas, 81, entered into rest on Tuesday, September 9, 2014.
Charles was born on March 13, 1933 in Scott, Georgia to the late Velma and Coy Thomas. He worked at Robins Air Force Base as an aircraft mechanic where he received many Outstanding Performance Awards. Charles retired from Civil Service after thirty-four dedicated years.
Charles was a member of Shirley Hills Baptist Church and Gil Switzer's Sunday School Class. He loved the Lord and was strong in his faith. Charles was also a master builder in woodwork and could repair anything that needed it.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Donnie McCullers and Bill Thomas.
Charles' memory will forever be treasured by his wife of sixty-two years, Reba Thomas of Warner Robins; children, Patricia Chan (Guy) of Seattle, Washington, Debra Sanders (William) of Florence, Alabama and David Thomas (Valencia) of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Sedgywyck Chan, Elizabeth Harper (Larry), Robert Sanders, Catherine Sanders, Christopher and Gabriel Pfannkuche-Thomas, Abigail Rogers and Justin Thomas; five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Trey and Lauren Harper and Adam and Alyssa Rogers; sisters-in-law, Betty Duggan of Cocoa, Florida and Carolyn Calhoun of Milledgeville, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014 with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given In Memory of Charles L. Thomas to Shirley Hills Baptist Church Building Fund, 615 Corder Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
