Charles Lindburgh York

Charles York, 83, entered into rest on Saturday, March 12, 2011.

Mr. York was born on September 26, 1927 in Hazlehurst, Georgia. He was of the Baptist faith. Charles was retired from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers where he was employed as an Industrial Electrician. His parents, Rosalee Boone York and Lee York; children, Annette, Charles and Kenneth York; brothers, Terrell, Virgil, Arthur, and Buck; sisters, Louise, Margie, and Stella; all preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of twenty three years, Nancy York, Warner Robins; children, Darlene Jordan (Walt); Gerald York (Mary Ann); Glenn York (Tansy); and Ricky York; stepchildren, Alana Roberts (Russell); Ronald Bell (Tammy); and Catherine Williams; sister in law, Lillian York; twenty one grandchildren and several great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; adopted African American sons, Garnet West, Willie Law, and their special families.
