Charles Bernard Mintz, 98, went to be with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, November 23, 2024.
Born on July 10, 1926, Charles was raised in Brooklyn, New York. After Pearl Harbor, he proudly volunteered to serve in the United States Army, where he distinguished himself as a cook and dental assistant, as well as a talented boxer. Throughout his life, Charles maintained a diverse range of skills, including fluency in four languages—English, German, French, and Greek—and a deep commitment to his faith, becoming an ordained minister.
Charles moved to Jones County 35 years ago, where he built a life filled with dedication and hard work; he owned and operated his own denture clinic for many years.
He attended Mable White Baptist Church in Macon and also had a love for the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Sandra Mintz; and four siblings; three brothers, and a sister.
His memory will forever be treasured by his nephews and a niece; as well as his brother-in-law, Ronnie Brock of Bonaire, Georgia.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Magnolia Park Cemetery, where Charles will be laid to rest.
