Charles Stephen ''Steve'' Woods

Charles Stephen ''Steve'' Woods, 54, entered into rest on Sunday, March 4, 2012.

Steve was born on September 8, 1957 in Springfield, Massachusetts. He was a 1975 graduate of Warner Robins High School and with pride and honor; he served his country in the United States Navy. After nine years in the military, he moved back to Central Georgia and attended Macon State College from which he graduated with an Associate's Degree in Nursing in 1990. Steve's church home was Southside Baptist Church, and he will be greatly missed as a father, son, brother, grandson, grandfather, uncle, nephew, and friend. His grandparents, Gurdley and Maude Woods and grandfather, George Stonecypher, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his son, Rob Van Bibber (Lori), Kansas City, Kansas; daughter, Rachel Woods, Quincy, Florida; stepchildren, Justin and Kanlie Buell, both of Quincy, Florida, and Tyler Buell, Reading, Michigan; parents, Chuck and Helen Woods, Bonaire, Georgia; sister, Rebecca Cochran (Doug), Warner Robins, Georgia; brother, Dennis Woods, Sparks, Nevada; grandmother, Margaret Stonecypher, Athens, Alabama; nephews, Shane Cochran, Warner Robins, and Josh Woods, Sparks, Nevada; niece, Alyssa Woods, Bonaire, Georgia; great-niece, Ayanna Brown; and grandchild, Aiden Van Bibber. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and good friend, Teresa Ball.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2012 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with a private inurnment in Magnolia Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088 or to Celebrate Recovery-Southside Baptist Church, 1040 S. Houston Lake Rd., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
