Charles T. Ashmore, 66, died Tuesday, August 19, 2003 in his home. Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 22 at 11:00 a.m in Magnolia Park Cemetery, with the Reverend Hubert Whitten officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.

Mr. Ashmore was born in Louisville, Mississippi. He served in the United States Air Force and retired at Robins Air Force Base with the rank of Technical Sergeant. A highly-decorated veteran, he worked as an Advanced Individual Training Instructor and served during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Ashmore was also retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base, having worked as a sheet metal fabricator. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Cannon Hulon Ashmore, and parents, John Wesley and Beatrice Ashmore.
Survivors include his children, Charles C. Hulon, Warner Robins; Robert T. Hulon, Flowery Branch; Thomas W. Ashmore, Byron; John A. Ashmore, Louisville, MS; Jennifer L. Voltz, Warner Robins; David A. Sanders, Sidney, NE; James V. Sanders, Scotts Bluff, NE; and Tina Steinbecker, Sidney, NE; sisters, Rose Pearson and Martina Ashmore, both of Louisville, MS; 15 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
