Charles Waylon Ellis, 80, entered into rest on Thursday, August 12, 2010.
Mr. Ellis was born on August 23, 1929 in Laurens County, Georgia. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church and was a longtime resident of Warner Robins. With pride and honor, Mr. Ellis served his country in the United States Army. Charles retired from Robins Air Force Base where he worked in civil service as an Electronics Technician. A very talented and artistic man, Charles was also a Contractor in the Middle Georgia area for many years. His sons, J. Wayne Ellis, C. Doyle Ellis, Carl Ellis, and Jerry Ellis, his parents, J. Howard Ellis and Georgia Lee Ward Ellis, all preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved and devoted wife, Evelyn L. Ellis, Warner Robins; two sons, Michael Ellis, Warner Robins; W. Danny Ellis, Macon; five grandchildren, one sister, JoAnn Brooks, of Conyers; and so many other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday evening, August 13, 2010 from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2010, in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Johnny Ellison officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
